Another Old West modern story coming up

A young woman is kidnapped near Walker Pass, on the road to Kernville, California; and the pursuit to rescue her is on.(This was written a long while back, when it took an agent to submit a story to a publisher, and almost impossible to get an agent without first being published.) The cold, cold desert

Hollywood and most authors show the desert as blazing hot. Those familiar with high deserts know that they are cold a good part of the year, and often cold at night even during summer. A good setting for Westerns.
